To call the BMW XM a divisive motorcar would be an understatement. Large, crass, and ostentatious, it has become the poster child for conspicuous consumption and bad taste. Not even the BMW M aficionados claim it as their own, and that’s no surprise: a two-tonne, electrified SUV posing as a halo M car? It was never going to end well. So, it is no surprise that the XM will reportedly be killed off in 2028.
