Tesla Model 3 Long-Range RWD Offers 363 Miles For Under $43k

  • Tesla has introduced the new Model 3 Long-Range Rear-Wheel Drive.
  • The car costs $42,490 and can travel 363 miles on a single charge.
  • Tesla is currently accepting orders and deliveries are slated to begin in August or September.

The Tesla Model 3 lineup continues to grow as the company has introduced a new long-range rear-wheel drive variant. It joins the entry-level rear-wheel drive model as well as the performance variant and the existing long-range all-wheel drive sedan.

var adpushup = window.adpushup = window.adpushup || {que:[]};
adpushup.que.push(function() {
if (adpushup.config.platform !== “DESKTOP”){
adpushup.triggerAd(“4d84e4c9-9937-4f84-82c0-c94544ee6f2a”);
}
else{

adpushup.triggerAd(“6a782b01-facb-45f3-a88f-ddf1b1f97657”);
} });

Pricing starts at $42,490 before incentives and buyers will find a familiar looking sedan with 363 miles (584 km) of range. That’s 91 miles (146 km) more than the entry-level Model 3 and 22 miles (35 km) more than the long-range all-wheel drive variant. However, if you trade the standard 18-inch wheels for the optional 19-inchers, the range falls to an estimated 322 miles (518 km).

Besides offering the longest range of any Model 3, the long-range rear-wheel drive sedan can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.9 seconds before hitting a top speed of 125 mph (201 km/h). That’s a vast improvement over the entry-level rear-wheel drive variant, which takes 5.8 seconds to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) but has the same top speed.

window._taboola = window._taboola || [];
_taboola.push({

placement: ‘Mid Article’,
target_type: ‘mix’
});

_taboola.push({
mode: ‘thumbnails-oc-2×1’,
container: ‘taboola-mid-article-thumbnails-organic’,
placement: ‘Mid Article Thumbnails Organic’,
target_type: ‘mix’
});

Unsurprisingly, the car is no match for the all-wheel drive variant. It hits 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.2 seconds, but is also limited to 125 mph (201 km/h).

Tesla says the Model 3 Long-Range Rear-Wheel Drive is eligible for the $7,500 federal tax credit and this effectively lowers the price to $34,990. If that floats your boat, you can submit an order today and get your car in August or September.
