  • Chevrolet has announced the 2025 Silverado 1500 will start at $38,995 including destination.
  • That makes the model the cheapest full-size truck in America and it undercuts competitors by thousands of dollars.
  • Changes are limited for 2025, but customers will find new paint colors and additional equipment.

The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado is making its way to dealers and the bowtie brand has announced pricing will begin at $38,995 including a $1,995 destination fee. That’s a slight increase over last year’s pickup, which began at $38,795.

It’s also pretty favorable when you look at the competition as the 2025 Ford F-150 begins at $40,605 while the Ram 1500 will set you back at least $42,270. Big Three aside, the 2025 Toyota Tundra begins at $42,035.

So what’s new for the cheapest full-size truck in America? Not much as there’s a revised color palette that includes new hues known as Cypress Gray and Riptide Blue. Customers will also find a set of newly available 20-inch wheels with a high gloss black finish.

Besides the styling tweaks, a handful of trims have additional standard equipment. In particular, the Work Truck (WT) gains cruise control while LT and above trims now come equipped with a trailer brake controller. The off-road focused ZR2 now sports a premium audio system as well as front and rear park assist.

Under the hood, customers will find an assortment of familiar engines including a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder developing 310 hp (231 kW / 314 PS) and 430 lb-ft (582 Nm) of torque. Customers can also opt for 5.3- and 6.2-liter V8s with 355 hp (265 kW / 360 PS) and 420 hp (313 kW / 425 PS). If gas isn’t your thing, there’s a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-six developing 305 hp (227 kW / 309 PS) and 495 lb-ft (670 Nm) of torque.

Getting back to pricing, Chevrolet noted the Silverado Custom Trail Boss is the “most affordable factory-lifted, full-size, light-duty truck in the industry.” It starts at $53,795 and features a 2-inch lift as well as a Z71 suspension.
