The immensely popular Kia Telluride has been mildly updated for the new model year, with the SUV now carrying a base MSRP of $36,190. Pricing has, for the most part, only increased mildly, as was the case with the 2024 Telluride. Some trims are up by $100, some, by $400, and some by $1,200, but most have only seen an increase of 200 bucks for 2025, as is the case with the entry-level model. It’s worth the extra outlay, though, as every trim in the range now gets second-row side airbags and Kia’s Highway Driving Assist 1.5 semi-autonomous system. Those who use their Telluride for more than just trips to the mall will also be pleased to know that towing capacity has increased to 5,500 lbs (+500 lbs) and ground clearance has risen by 10 millimeters, but that’s not all.

Trim Adjustments Make AWD PricierThe base LX trim is no longer available with AWD, and the upper-range SX AWD X-Pro has also been culled. In their place, a new EX AWD X-Pro trim sits in the middle of the lineup. With these changes to the lineup, Kia has effectively made it $3,100 more costly to get a Telluride with all-paw traction. That being said, at least the latest Telluride undercuts the 2025 Mazda CX-90, which starts at $37,845 (excluding $1,455 for destination).

Along with more capability for the refreshed SUV, the automaker has ensured that you can see some cosmetic changes on the X-Line and X-Pro trims, with newly standard gloss black exterior accents like the roof rails and emblems. These trims also get a Terracotta interior and embossed front seats. A standard 12.3-inch dual-screen display now appears on SX and higher trims, as does the Digital Key 2 Touch feature, which enables opening your vehicle with a smartphone or smartwatch app.
Nothing Changes Under The Hood
All Kia Telluride trims are motivated by a 3.8-liter V6 engine with 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, which is delivered to the wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. We’re not surprised that there aren’t greater changes for 2025, as the Telluride got a significant facelift two years ago and still looks better than many of its rivals. Its performance also remains competitive, but there is a glaring omission from the lineup, and that’s a hybrid model. Thankfully, parent company Hyundai is introducing 14 new hybrids in the coming years. In the meantime, there’s the all-electric Kia EV9.
