Powered By Everrati Promises To Bring “Almost Any Type Of Specialist EV” To Life Fast

Key Takeaways

  • Everrati launches B2B sub-brand offering electric powertrain solutions to automakers and specialists.
  • The company has seen a tenfold increase in demand and a 200% rise in contract signings.
  • Several new signings from luxury automakers underscore commitment to innovation.

You may know Everrati’s name from its Ford GT40 EV conversion, or perhaps you’ve seen some of its stunning electromods based on the 964-generation Porsche 911. What you may not know is that this business model hasn’t only been piquing the attention of classic car enthusiasts but also other big businesses. As a result of a remarkable increase in interest in its services, Everrati has now launched a new business-to-business sub-brand called Powered by Everrati, offering a turnkey solution for automakers who need access to a flexible and scalable electric powertrain and software. The company is also offering its in-house developed Vehicle Control Unit architecture, claimed to reduce the time to commencement and cost of new EV programs by as much as 70%.

Big Brains, Big Growth

Powered by Everrati reports that it has recently made a host of new hires from Rimac, Prodrive, Cosworth, Tuthill, Danecca, Ferrari, and Aston Martin. It also has former Aston CEO Dr. Andy Palmer among its advisors, so it’s acquired a wealth of talented and experienced individuals to lead this new phase.

Everrati hasn’t converted an RSR to an EV, thankfully.

The company says demand for its services has increased tenfold in just the last year alone. In addition, the business of electric powertrain conversions for existing vehicles, along with “new customer programs across both new high-performance and specialist electric vehicles,” has seen an increase of over 200% in contract signings.

What’s Behind This Growth?

Everrati does not name its B2B customers but says that it has signed “multiple electrification agreements with global specialist and luxury vehicle brands.” With demand for electric vehicles slowing in the near term but expected to pick up dramatically in the medium to long term, it’s no surprise that OEMs are seeking to reduce costs by leaning on the expertise of smaller, more flexible, less bureaucratic companies that can develop components and software rapidly. This gives them the ability to reduce costs and meet the demands of today while still being detached enough to pivot if the market does.

This could be a game-changer for electric cars.

At the same time, many classic car owners are realizing the benefits of increased performance with no maintenance costs and no congestion charges in major cities, spurring the increased interest in electric conversions. As the Bosch annual press conference noted, the future looks electric.

“Our pipeline is brimming with opportunities as specialist and luxury brands, low-volume manufacturers, and OEM ‘classic divisions’ wishing to bring their heritage into the future seek to swiftly create new or electrify existing vehicles. With 70% of all new cars in Europe expected to be pure electric by 2030, momentum is really accelerating.”
