Genesis To Debut Three New Vehicles At 2024 Goodwood Festival Of Speed

Genesis will show off new reveals and concepts at the 2024 Goodwood FOS, and some of them could be high-performance Magma models.

Key Takeaways

  • Genesis to unveil three vehicles at 2024 Goodwood Festival for global, European, and UK markets.
  • Display models still to be announced; could include Neolun concept or Magma high-performance concepts.
  • Several Genesis products have been refreshed this year.

Luxury automaker Genesis has announced that it will debut three vehicles at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, saying that these debuts will be applicable to global, European, and UK markets. Details are scant, but we do know that “a Genesis concept will make its dynamic global debut on the famous Goodwood hillclimb, along with a vehicle that will be seen in action for the first time in the UK.” The third vehicle will be a “first-time European display.” All of this suggests that the vehicles Genesis will present may not be machines we’ve never seen before, so what can we expect?

“Plenty Of Surprises In Store”

Jonny Miller, Genesis Motor UK Brand Director, says, “2024 is a busy year for the brand, and there will be plenty of surprises in store for Goodwood visitors.” The first part of that statement is certainly true, as the automaker has recently refreshed several models, including the G70 and G80 sedans and the GV70 and GV80 crossovers, and introduced others.

The GV80 is also now available as a coupe, but we suspect that an enthusiast-focused event like this would be better suited to a display of the spectacular; Genesis could gauge local public reception to the several Magma high-performance concepts it has created for other markets like the Middle East and Asia or maybe even the massive Neolun luxury SUV concept shown to Chinese auto show attendees recently.

Huge Attractions At Goodwood

As always, the Goodwood Festival of Speed will be attended by loads of exciting vehicles, and some of the machines that Genesis will be competing for attention with include things as diverse as the first-ever Red Bull hypercar and a new McLaren drift car for Mad Mike. Unfortunately, Genesis has said that it will only confirm which vehicles will be on display at a later date, so we’ll have to be patient. As Genesis looks to disassociate itself from Hyundai, or at least its less luxurious image, a return to the Goodwood FOS stage could be the ideal springboard from which to launch a line of Magma-branded production cars or a new luxury SUV. Better yet, a production version of its Speedium supercar concept would really get tongues wagging.
