As reported by Inside EVs, Kia USA is currently offering a 24-month lease deal on the Light Long Range RWD trim that comes out to $399 a month with $3,949 due at signing.

This comes out to an effective lease of $564 per month for one of the best electric SUVs on the market and is a great way to get your foot in the door to an EV. We’ve been seeing many lease deals these past few months due to the market fluctuating, and Kia always seems to sit near the top with its great offers.

A Stellar EV For The Family

With space for up to six passengers, the EV9 combines the best of Kia’s EV looks in a package that everyone is going to appreciate thanks to its ample use of space. It’s a grerat choice for large families that also need room for plenty of cargo.

The Light Long Range trim isn’t the most powerful, as it only offers a single motor that produces 201 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque on the rear axle, but it makes up for it by pairing it with a 99.8 kWh battery that gets you the top 304-mile range. Charging at home with a 240-volt setup will take you almost 9 hours from 0-100%, but if you can find a 350kW DC fast charger, 10-80% can take as little as 20 minutes.

Because this is a lease, it includes the $7,500 EV tax credit, but if you’re interested in buying the vehicle outright, you can even qualify for up to $9,000 in cash on many of the trims in the EV9 lineup. Lease deals are also available on the higher models, but none offer as good a deal as this lower trim.

Kia’s EV Lineup Is Growing

The EV9 may be the brand’s biggest and baddest model, but if you don’t need the space, Kia has started fleshing out its EV offerings thanks to the recent introduction of the tiny EV3 crossover. As the name suggests, it sits underneath the EV6 and will be somewhat adjacent to the Niro EV in size.

If you’re more interested in performance though, the EV6 GT is the one to get, and if you want performance for the entire family, it may be worth waiting for the upcoming EV9 GT, which is expected to have more than 600 horsepower and will arrive at the beginning of 2025.
