As we approach the unveiling of Lamborghini’s next supercar, set to replace the Huracan and rumored to be named the Temerario, prototypes of the plug-in hybrid have been spotted cruising on public roads. These sightings mark the final stages of development for the hotly anticipated model.

After numerous sightings by our spy photographers, the Temerario was recently spotted by one of our readers, Marcin, in the region of Gallipoli in Southern Italy. Marcin reported that the new baby Lambo paused for 10 seconds but quickly sped away after the test driver spotted the camera lens.

The prototype is completely draped in camouflage, with faux taillight stickers reminiscent of the Aventador. However, the distinctive sharp nose of the Temerario is unmistakable, boasting slimmer headlights and hexagonal LEDs adorning the front bumper.

The supercar has larger intakes compared to its Huracan predecessor, due to the increased cooling requirements. Furthermore, a significant portion of the rear tires is exposed, flaunting the integrated diffuser. Finally, features like the high-mounted exhaust pipe and the vented engine cover are typical of modern mid-engined Lamborghinis.
Earlier spy shots gave us a glimpse into the Temerario’s dashboard, featuring a larger infotainment screen combined with a digital instrument cluster and a passenger display, just like in the Revuelto flagship.
It has already been confirmed that the successor to the Huracan will ditch the naturally aspirated V10 in favor of a more potent hybrid V8. The twin-turbo 4.0-liter flat-plane crank engine is set to churn out 789 hp (or 800 hp) and 538 lb-ft (730 Nm) of torque on its own, capable of revving to 10,000 rpm.
Additionally, reports suggest that an electric motor will contribute another 148 hp (150 PS / 100 kW) and 221 lb-ft (300 Nm) of torque, propelling the Temerario into the realm of hypercar power.
We can expect to learn more about the Temerario in the coming months, as Lamborghini is likely to kick off an extensive teaser campaign leading up to its unveiling.
