  • With a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, 400 hp, and 6 or 9-speed transmission, this Z promises a thrilling drive experience.
  • The New Sight Orange paint, front fascia, and exterior decals make this Z stand out from the rest in true heritage style.

The Nissan Z is celebrating its 55th anniversary with the limited run 2024 Nissan Z Heritage Edition. It pays homage to the long history of this beloved sports car with unique design elements and old-school color. This announcement comes shortly after Nissan confirmed that the GT-R is ending production, so this is a nice little consolation prize as the GT-R disappears.

The Heritage Edition is based on the Z Performance, which sits just below the track-ready Nismo in the lineup. It features a 3.0-liter V6 engine with 400 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque and a choice of either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. There’s also a limited-slip differential and Nissan Performance brakes with red calipers for confident stops.

That Color

While underneath it’s the standard Z Performance, on the outside it’s completely unique, starting with the New Sight Orange paint. This color was chosen as a nod to the orange of the original S30-generation Datsun 240Z.

In addition, there’s a special front fascia that has more rectangular grille openings than the standard Z. The Heritage Edition rolls on 19-inch alloy wheels with fender extensions, which again goes back to the styling of the original Z.

Exterior Enhancements

The paint alone is enough to catch your eye, but there are additional exterior elements that make this Z different from the rest. These include a black hood decal, bodyside decals, and Heritage Edition decals that surround the Z emblems behind the rear quarter windows.

The Z has a long history of special editions going back to the 1980 Datsun 280ZX 10th Anniversary that was bright gold and black. There was also a 1984 Nissan 300ZX Turbo 50th Anniversary to celebrate 50 years of the Nissan brand and special editions for the 35th and 40th anniversary of the Z. This latest edition in the anniversary lineup will go on sale this summer with a starting price of $59,135.
