Tom’s Gives The Toyota Prius New Menace

The new Toyota Prius is the most attractive iteration yet, but if you want to add even more style to your compact hybrid, Tom’s has the solution. The tuner has loads of experience making Toyota and Lexus vehicles look sportier and sexier, and now the humble Prius is getting the same care. The kit comprises several revisions, including a new front bumper update with a sportier spoiler and new air ducts that are said to reduce air resistance. This not only lends the Prius a more athletic look but could even improve gas mileage.

Tom’s Makes The Prius Look Even Better

Along the side of the vehicle, you’ll find new side skirts, which improve high-speed stability. At the rear of the Toyota is a rear diffuser that is surprisingly subtle and increases downforce. Customers can purchase these accessories individually or as part of a ¥299,000 ($1,895) package. If you want it color-matched to your Prius, that will set you back ¥344,000 ($2,181).

Tom’s has also previewed a sharp set of wheels painted in black. These are presumably available at extra cost and finish the aggressive styling nicely, but just about any aggressive wheel looks good on the Prius. Lastly, there’s a ¥265,000 ($1,680) exhaust option.

No Performance Upgrades At Present

There’s no mention of any interior updates or engine upgrades, but the new Prius is sprightly enough for a car of its ilk. The new model is considerably more potent than its predecessor, with 196 horsepower from its electrified 2.0-liter four-pot. Those seeking more muscle can opt for the plug-in hybrid variant with 220 hp.

The hybrid is proving to be an immense success, with sales of the venerable hybrid jumping more than 138% during the first quarter of 2024. With these looks, it’s no surprise that the handsome compact walked off with the 2024 World Car Design award.
