Rezvani Butchers Cadillac Escalade To Make New Bulletproof Arsenal SUV

The Arsenal won’t win any beauty contests, but it might save your life

Rezvani Butchers Cadillac Escalade To Make New Bulletproof Arsenal SUV

  • Rezvani has unveiled the Arsenal, an armored SUV based on the Cadillac Escalade.
  • The model is based on the Cadillac Escalade and features a 6.2-liter V8 with up to 700 hp.
  • If also offers a Military Edition Package with features like bulletproof glass and a smoke screen.

Say what you will about the Cadillac Escalade, but it’s an unmistakable American icon. Unfortunately, Rezvani couldn’t leave well enough alone so they transformed the luxury SUV into an anonymous blob known as the Arsenal.

This was intentional as the company said they wanted a “more minimalist style than the usual extreme designs seen in Rezvani vehicles.” It’s a questionable move as the Arsenal looks a little generic and wears a Ram 1500 TRX-inspired front end.

Moving further back, we can see edgy bodywork and a bunker-like greenhouse. They’re joined by a unique liftgate and 22-inch wheels wrapped in 35-inch tires.

While the exterior is special, the cabin largely carries over from the Caddy. As a result, the model will come nicely equipped in seven- or eight-seat configurations.

Highlights include heated front- and second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, and a tri-zone climate control system. Buyers will also find a familiar curved OLED display that consists of a 7.2-inch driver information center, a 14.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 16.9-inch infotainment system.

The SUV also has a 19-speaker AKG audio system, a wireless smartphone charger, and a panoramic roof. That’s not much to get excited about, but at least Rezvani adds their logo to the steering wheel and offers custom upholstery.

Speaking of options, the Arsenal can be equipped with a Military Edition Package. It adds bulletproof glass and body armor as well as optional composite armor rated to B6 levels of protection. The latter is said to be significantly lighter than ballistic steel, while still providing protection against attackers with AR15 and AK47 rifles.

The Military Edition Package also adds a reinforced suspension, electromagnetic pulse protection, and run-flat tires. Customers will also find a smoke screen, a pepper spray dispenser, and electrified door handles. Rounding out the highlights are a thermal night vision system, an intercom, and “blinding lights.”

Given that the Arsenal is based on the Escalade, it’s not surprising to learn a 420 hp (313 kW / 426 PS) 6.2-liter V8 comes standard while a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-six is optional. Customers can also get a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 producing 700 hp (522 kW / 710 PS).

Production is limited to 100 units and pricing starts at $225,000. Rezvani is currently accepting orders for a refundable $500 deposit.
