2025 Lexus ES Goes Dark With New Black Line Special Edition

  • The 2025 Lexus ES carries over mostly unchanged from the previous year.
  • Lexus is bringing back the Black Line Special Edition for the ES 350 F Sport Handling.
  • The sedan will arrive at US dealerships this summer with prices starting from $43,190.

The Toyota Camry received a comprehensive update for 2025, but its Lexus counterpart isn’t as fortunate as it maintains its existing form. However, the luxury brand is bringing back the Black Line Special Edition after a four-year hiatus for the 2025 model year.

Based on the ES 350 F Sport Handling, the Black Line Special Edition embraces the dark side as it wears Obsidian mirrors, a black rear spoiler, and black rocker panel accents. The model also has F Sport puddle lights as well as a 12.3-inch infotainment system and a head-up display. Other highlights include a Panoramic View Monitor and a SmartAccess Card Key.

Production is limited to 1,000 units and the special edition costs an extra $3,965. That means customers will need to shell out a total of $53,615.

Aside from the special edition, the 2025 Lexus ES is unchanged. That thankfully applies to pricing as well as the model continues to start at $43,190.

The lineup consists of three different variants including an entry-level ES 250 AWD. It has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 203 hp (151 kW / 206 PS) and 184 lb-ft (249 Nm) of torque.

The same $43,190 price tag can also get you an ES 350, which has a 3.5-liter V6 with 302 hp (225 kW / 306 PS) and 267 lb-ft (362 Nm) of torque. It’s the one to get if you don’t need all-wheel drive as it cuts the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time from 8.1 to 6.6 seconds.

Customers can also opt for the ES 300h, which has a hybridized 2.5-liter four-cylinder producing a combined output of 215 hp (160 kW / 218 PS). It also takes 8.1 seconds to hit 60 mph (96 km/h), but it can return 43 mpg city, 44 mpg highway, and 44 mpg combined.
