Legacy’s Tuscan Blue Range Rover Restomod Checks All The Right Boxes

  • The company has fitted an LS3 6.2-liter V8 pumping out 420 hp.
  • Comprehensive updates have been made to the Range Rover’s interior, which now includes a new audio system.

Legacy Overland is an expert at restoring and modifying classic Toyota Land Cruiser, Range Rover, and Mercedes-Benz G-Class models, and while its latest creation may not be the most dramatic restomod we’ve seen, it should tick all the boxes for anyone who wants a classic Range Rover but with modern running gear.

adpushup.que.push(function() {

Legacy removed the original engine and transmission to boost performance and improve reliability. Found under the hood is a new LS3 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8 working alongside a six-speed automatic transmission and a rebuilt transfer case. This engine is good for 420 hp, and we’re sure it transforms the way the 4×4 handles both on the road and along off-road trails.

Plenty of changes have been made to the Range Rover’s exterior, too. Any imperfections in the original panels have been dealt with, and the exterior received a repaint in Tuscan Blue, which looks superb on a vehicle of this vintage. It’s also been fitted with a set of 16-inch Rostyle steel powder-coated wheels and an anti-rust treatment applied to the chassis should allow this thing to solider on for many decades.

Legacy has outfitted the cabin with a custom Palomino leather interior, and there’s also chocolate brown shag carpeting and a new headliner. The Range Rover is also rocking a new Blaupunkt head unit with Bluetooth, new speakers, and an upgraded subwoofer. There’s also new sound deadening applied throughout, which should help make the Range Rover feel more comfortable than ever.

Restomods like these have grown in popularity in recent years. Not only do they bring together the best of the old and modern worlds, but often, they also involve a vehicle that otherwise would have been scrapped or left to rot. In an age where consumers frequently throw out old devices and cars in favor of the latest and greatest replacements, it’s always good to see classic vehicles getting a new lease on life.
