G-Power’s BMW M3 CS Almost Has As Much Power As The New M5

G-Power hasn’t said how quickly its wild M3 CS will hit 60 mph but with 720 hp, we guess it’ll be fast enough

G-Power’s BMW M3 CS Almost Has As Much Power As The New M5

The BMW M3 CS was released as the ultimate version of the most beloved sports sedan, and for anyone in the market for an M car that’s comfortable, luxurious, quick, and fun to drive, it’s hard to beat. G-Power thinks it has what it takes to make it even better.

The famous German tuner has just released an upgraded version of the model, fittingly dubbed the G-Power G3M CS Bi-Turbo. It will be offered in three guises with differing power levels and several exterior and interior upgrades. If this was an official project from BMW M’s division, it’d probably be called the M3 CS RS or M3 CS GT.

First things first is the engine. BMW’s highly-regarded 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder can be optioned with a basic performance tune and a new muffler, boosting its output to 620 hp and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm). Power-hungry buyers who want even more performance can opt for a more aggressive engine software tune and a complete exhaust system, that’s good enough for 670 hp and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. This package also includes enlarged tailpipes.

The most potent option is the GP-720. As the name implies, the combination of a performance tune, a new exhaust, and sport downpipes with high-flow 200-cell metal catalytic converters results in a combined 720 hp and 850 Nm. To put that into perspective, the new BMW M5, complete with a twin-turbocharged V8 and a hybrid system, is good for 717 hp and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm), so G-Power’s creation isn’t far behind in the torque department.

The tuner has not mentioned how quickly the car can accelerate. However, it’s bound to be significantly quicker than the standard model, which can hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.2 seconds and tops out at 188 mph (303 km/h).

Then we get to the visual stuff. Upgrades made include the option between G-Power’s Hurricane RR and Hurricane RS wheels measuring 20×9 at the front and 20×10.5 at the rear. There’s also a carbon fiber hood, a bespoke front splitter with large aerodynamic flics, and a fixed rear wing. Some interior changes have been made, too, including new carpets, a carbon fiber steering wheel, and special badges.
