It may have just hit the market, but the Chevrolet Equinox EV is ready to have its second model year. The 2025 Equinox EV was just announced as a carryover, though the pricing and trim structure has changed in several significant ways. For starters, Chevy has confirmed that the previously announced $34,995 starting MSRP (not including a $1,395 destination fee or $7,500 tax credit) will be available for 2025. The 2024 model year was only available in the 2RS and 2RS trims, which were more expensive.
In other words, Chevy never delivered the 1LT with that affordable starting price, but the American automaker will rectify that broken promise with a new LT trim for 2025. No exact timetable was given for when the 2025 MY would enter production, but reports indicate it could be as soon as August.
New Trim Structure
Chevy has simplified the trim structure, so there are now only two trim levels (formerly five), though there are now more available packages on those trims. It’s simpler, but also more complicated. The LT replaces the 1LT, delivering on the $34,995 price tag, but buyers can also add a Comfort and Active Safety 2 Package for $2,000. An LT with Comfort and Active Safety 2 Package, and Convenience I Package model replaces what would have been called the 2LT for $43,295. Finally, an LT with Comfort, Active Safety 2 Package, and Convenience II Package replaces the former 3LT for $46,395. See what we mean by complicated?

The 2RS and 3RS have been condensed into one RS trim. The 2RS is now simply called “RS,” starting at $44,795, while the 2RS is replaced by the RS with Convenience II Package for $47,890.
Higher Prices, More Features
Pricing is more or less a carryover, except for the top LT and RS trims, which are slightly higher than the previous 3LT and 3RS. Chevy says the reason for the slight price increase ($1,100), is due to the addition of a head-up display and rear camera mirror as standard equipment.
