It wouldn’t be an overstatement to say that the Tesla Cybertruck generated mania among EV enthusiasts. It quickly became the latest must-have vehicle for celebrities and social media stars, and for a period, Cybertrucks were being flipped for more than double the MSRP. As it turns out, demand hasn’t let up.
Newly reported sales figures claim that demand for the Cybertruck remains strong. In fact, Kelley Blue Book believes that more than 3,200 units were sold in June. This makes the electric truck the best-selling new vehicle with a price over $100,000, with each Cybertruck typically selling at an average transaction price of $112,696.

It’s worth mentioning that Tesla has not released sales figures for the Cybertruck this year; these are just estimates. In its Q2 report, the carmaker asserted that it built 386,576 Model 3s and Model Ys and delivered 422,405 cars while lumping the Model S, Model X, Cybertruck, and Semi into an ‘Other Models’ category. A grand total of 24,255 of these Other Models were built last quarter, while 21,551 were delivered. Precisely how many of those were Cybertrucks remains a mystery.
Cox Automotive’s analysis adds that because of the Cybertruck, the average transaction price of new Tesla models jumped considerably from $56,809 in May to $58,399 in June. That represents a 2.8% increase and also 5.7% higher than it was a year ago. Perhaps even more interesting is that the average transaction prices of new Teslas have increased more over the past year than any other brand.

The carmaker with the highest ATP increase from June 2023 besides Tesla was Chrysler, with a 5.5% jump. Other brands to report noteworthy increases include Toyota and Porsche, both with 5% increases, Lexus with a 4% increase, and Mazda with a 3.8% increase.
In terms of EVs, the average price paid in June reached $56,371, a 0.9% increase from May but 2.5% down from June 2023. The ATP of all new vehicles in the U.S., regardless of powertrain, was $48,644 in June.
