Key Takeaways
- 2025 Lucid Air Pure achieves record 146 MPGe EPA rating, retains sub-$70,000 MSRP.
- All 2025 Air variants get advanced heat pump from tri-motor Air Sapphire.
- The entire lineup now includes DreamDrive Premium safety suite.

The Lucid Air lineup has just been updated for 2025, and the news is good. Updates have made their way to each model in the regular lineup (Air Pure, Air Touring, and Air Grand Touring), excluding the high-performance Air Sapphire, and each variant is now both safer and more advanced. The major headline is that the entry-level rear-wheel-drive Air Pure has received an EPA-certified rating of 146 MPGe, translating to a record 5 miles per kWh of energy from its 84 kWh battery pack. Better still, the cheapest Lucid Air retains its 2024 pricing with a sub-$70k base MSRP. All pricing listed below excludes the manufacturer’s $1,500 destination charge.

Improved Efficiency
The Lucid Air Grand Touring remains the range king with an EPA-certified 512 miles, but all variants should be more efficient overall thanks to the standard inclusion of an advanced heat exchanger with a heightened flow rate. This energy-saving heat pump was previously only fitted to the triple-motor Air Sapphire and is expected to help regular Air EVs maintain outstanding range even when temperatures drop.

In addition, Lucid has fitted new control hardware, including a new processor for the infotainment system. With this, Lucid claims triple the processing power and double the memory of the old system. “The advancements introduced across the Lucid Air lineup for 2025 further cement our leadership position. Lucid Air is the very embodiment of our relentless approach to optimization, enabling Air Pure to use less electrical energy than any other vehicle for any journey taken, A to B,” commented Peter Rawlinson, CEO of Lucid Motors. Sticking with the media system, the Air Grand Touring now gets Surreal Sound Pro as standard.
Supreme Safety Now Standard
Finally, Lucid has seen fit to provide the entire range with its DreamDrive Premium safety suite of advanced driver assistance technologies. As a reminder, DreamDrive offers forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, front and rear cross-traffic warning systems, a blind spot warning alert, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic parking, park sensors, and a driver inattention warning.
DreamDrive Premium adds a blind spot camera and a 3D surround-view parking camera. DreamDrive Pro gets all of the above features along with lane centering assist for the adaptive cruise control, upgraded sensors, and hardware for future self-driving technologies. In a nutshell, the 2025 Lucid Air is more efficient, has a faster infotainment system, and comes with more standard safety tech for similar money to last year. What’s not to like?
