2025 Hyundai Tucson Is Still A Sub-$30k Bargain

Key Takeaways

  • Hyundai announces pricing for the 2025 Hyundai Tucson.
  • The entry-level SE has a base MSRP of $28,355.
  • Three engine options – 2.5-liter four-cylinder, 1.6-liter turbo hybrid, 1.6-liter turbo PHEV – and multiple trims are available.

Hyundai has revealed pricing for the 2025 Tucson, the brand’s best-selling model in the United States. Facelifted last year, the crossover features a raft of improvements, from sharper styling to a revised interior. Despite this, pricing remains reasonable, with the entry-level model coming in at under $29,000. It’s worth noting that the 2025 Kia Sportage has an even lower starting price.

An off-road-inspired XRT trim is also available. For a more rugged look, the XRT receives model-specific 18-inch wheels, chunky body cladding, matte black fascias (front and rear), and black exterior trim. The interior gets H-Tex trim, XRT embossing, and a black headliner. A tow hitch is also part of the XRT package.

Three Engine Options To Choose From

The high-end Limited trim adds luxury car features to the affordable crossover. The exterior benefits from 19-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, a dark chrome front grille, and high-gloss black B- and C-pillars. Step inside, and you’ll find genuine leather upholstery, a power-adjustable front seat, an eight-speaker Bose sound system, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel. The Limited package includes a head-up display, rain-sensing wipers, and a surround-view monitor. The Tucson hybrid can also be specified with the sporty N-Line trim, which introduces racier styling, N-Line 19-inch wheels, red interior flourishes, and leather/cloth combination seats.

I Drove The 2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid N Line: Here Are 5 Ways I’d Improve it

Hyundai needs to level up all of its N Line cars, and we’ve got a few suggestions.

Hyundai offers three engine choices: a naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder, a hybrid 1.6-liter turbo, and a PHEV 1.6-liter turbo. The base engine produces 187 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque and is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The hybrid has combined outputs of 231 hp/258 lb-ft and benefits from a larger 47.7 kW electric motor. Lastly, the PHEV comes with a healthy 268 hp/258 lb-ft, but you pay for the extra power and efficiency. The hybrid and PHEV Tucsons make use of a six-speed automatic transmission. All pricing listed above excludes the $1,395 destination charge.
