Key Takeaways
- Karma Automotive teases two new models for August 16 reveal at The Quail.
- One of the models is referred to as the GT-UV, which may debut as a GT sports car and SUV combination with distinct design features.
- The automaker will also reveal the production-ready interior for the Kaveya electric coupe.
Karma Automotive has teased two new models before their reveal next month. The GT-UV Design Study and another unnamed vehicle will be unveiled at The Quail on August 16. The automaker hasn’t said much but notes that the GT-UV will preview Karma’s new design language, ‘Comet Line.’
The automaker hasn’t shared much about the newcomers, but teaser images give clues of what we can expect. A low-slung hood and front fascia suggest the GT-UV will have a sporty character. However, the name itself gives us reason to believe the vehicle will be a combination of a GT sports car and an SUV, sort of like the high-riding Lamborghini Lanzador concept.
GT-UV May Be A Segment-Straddling EV
Unfortunately, we cannot confirm this, as the images don’t allow us to see the rest of the body. The headlights are rather interesting, with slim lighting strips situated on the front end. Cutouts positioned just above suggest the GT-UV will have concealed headlights.

The windscreen appears to flow into the glass roof, creating a clean look. This design trait is rather popular and can be found on the Lucid Air and Gravity, as well as the Tesla Model X – all potential rivals for the GT-UV. Two lighting strips are present on the hood, which is a very distinctive detail. It would appear the ‘Karma’ badging is also illuminated.
What Else Can We Expect From Karma?
Aside from the GT-UV (and its mystery sibling), Karma also plans to unveil the production-ready interior for the new Kaveya luxury coupe. The automaker has only shared a sketch for now, but we can see an expansive panoramic glass roof, an angular dashboard design, and a squared-off Yoke-style steering wheel with integrated controls. The center console appears to have a rotary control knob that will presumably be used for the infotainment system. We can also see digital dials behind the steering wheel.

The turn signal remains active longer than it should, increasing the risk of a crash.
Aside from the GT-UV and the other new models, we expect Karma will also showcase the Gyesera luxury sedan and the Kaveya at The Quail. The automaker has been making the Revero GS-6 and derivatives for a while, so it’s about time that Karma introduces some fresh models. Karma plans to rejuvenate its brand image, by chasing customers in the high-end luxury segment. Earlier this year, Karma President Marques McCammon said, “Karma is not about the mass market. Not everyone will own a Karma, but if we do our job right, we will be the car that is in everyone’s dreams.”
