2025 Lincoln Navigator Getting Nautilus-Inspired Styling Updates

  • The fourth-generation Lincoln Navigator is ready for its second and more extensive facelift.
  • A set of computer-generated illustrations based on spy shots gives us a better idea of what to expect.
  • The 2025 Lincoln Navigator is expected to debut in the coming months.

The Lincoln Navigator is about to receive a substantial, and much needed, facelift, to go against the recently updated Cadillac Escalade. Following the revealing spy shots sent to us by our reader Sach Mathur, our colleagues at Kolesa created accurate renderings of the updated SUV, giving us a better idea of what to expect.

var adpushup = window.adpushup = window.adpushup || {que:[]};
adpushup.que.push(function() {
if (adpushup.config.platform !== “DESKTOP”){
adpushup.triggerAd(“4d84e4c9-9937-4f84-82c0-c94544ee6f2a”);
}
else{

} });

The current fourth generation of the Lincoln Navigator was introduced in 2017, and in 2021, it received its first facelift. Three years later, it’s time for a more extensive update, to make the Navigator more competitive against its newer rivals.

As shown in the rendering by Kolesa, the Navigator will adopt styling cues from the smaller Lincoln Nautilus. The front end will be fully redesigned with a larger grille, sharper LED headlights, and wider bumper intakes.

window._taboola = window._taboola || [];
_taboola.push({
mode: ‘thumbnails-a-mid’,
container: ‘taboola-mid-article’,
placement: ‘Mid Article’,
target_type: ‘mix’
});

});

The sheet metal on the profile will be carried over except for the tweaked quarter panels, the sleeker roof rails, and a heavier dose of chrome on the rear portion of the beltline. We also expect new wheel designs, new color options, and redesigned mirror caps.

Changes at the back are equally extensive as the front, with a new and slimmer full-width LED bar replacing the outdated taillights of the current model. The tailgate and rear bumper are also expected to be altered, in line with Lincoln’s latest styling language.

Times have moved on since the previous 2021 facelift, which means that Lincoln has to update the interior to stay relevant with full-size luxury SUV buyers. As an answer to the massive 55-inch display in the rival Cadillac Escalade, the Lincoln Navigator could inherit a version of the 48-inch display found in the Nautilus, in addition to the 11.1-inch touchscreen positioned closer to the driver for easier operation.

We don’t have information about any chassis or powertrain updates, although these are expected to be mild. The existing twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 is good for 450 hp (340 kW / 460 PS) and 510 lb-ft (691 Nm) of torque, sending power to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Judging from the state of the lightly camouflaged prototype spotted in Florida, we wouldn’t be surprised if the 2025 Lincoln Navigator breaks cover sometime in the coming months.
