Key Takeaways
- Dodge Power Dollars program offers $10-per-horsepower discount for several models, including the Durango and Hornet.
- Discounts range from $2,680 on Hornet GT/R/T trims to $7,100 on Durango SRT Hellcat model.
- Sales of Dodge-branded vehicles fell in Q2 2024 (compared to Q2 2023).
With the exception of the new Hornet, sales of Dodge-branded vehicles have tanked in Q2 2024 and the first half of the year. With slumping sales and new models on the way, it’s time for Dodge to get rid of existing inventory, and it will do so with a clever Dodge Power Dollars incentive program that gives customers $10 per horsepower off the sticker price.
Several models are eligible for the deal, including all 2024 Durango trims. This includes the high-powered SRT 392 and SRT Hellcat models, which means customers seeking a performance SUV can save thousands of dollars. For the first time, the MY2024 Hornet is also eligible for the Dodge Power Dollars discount.

Plenty Of Savings To Be Had
Let’s not forget the outgoing 2023 Charger and Challenger SXT, GT, and R/T trims, bringing the total number of eligible vehicles up to 15. The lowest available incentive is linked to the Hornet GT and R/T trims. With 268 hp on tap, customers can enjoy $2,680 off the MSRP. That means the GT ($31,400) and RT ($41,400) could be purchased for as little as $28,720 and $38,720, respectively.

Dodge Facing Potential Class Action For Bringing Back The Durango Hellcat
Buyers of 2021 Durango Hellcats were promised that the super SUV would be available for one year only. Now, they’re livid.

The biggest discount to be found is on the Durango SRT Hellcat. With a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that develops 710 hp, Dodge is offering $7,100 off the sticker price of the SRT Hellcat. The high-riding brawler has a $95,995 price tag, so with the discount, you’re looking at $88,895 – not a bad deal for an SUV with this level of power.
“Dodge brand total sales in the US increased 16% from the first quarter to the second quarter of 2024, and we plan to continue to build on that momentum. We know our Dodge/SRT enthusiasts crave more power and performance, and Dodge Power Dollars gives them an extra boost to join the Brotherhood of Muscle.”
– Matt McAlear, Dodge CEO.
Sales Are Down, So These Incentives Are Needed
While Q2 sales were up compared to the first quarter of 2021, year-on-year figures show the numbers took a tumble. In Q2 2024, Dodge sold 49,787 vehicles compared to 59,752 cars and SUVs in Q2 2023. Unlike the Durango, the discounts related to the outgoing Charger and Challenger are limited to the SXT, GT, and R/T models. While the SXT and GT are powered by the familiar 3.6-liter V6, the R/T trims gain a more robust and desirable 5.7-liter V8 engine with 370 horsepower.

Dodge Thinks It Can Fool V8 Fans With Electric Muscle Car’s Exhaust
Dodge has teased an updated take on the Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust that seems a lot more realistic than before.
Dodge is going through somewhat of a rebirth. The V8-powered muscle cars have been killed off, leaving Mopar fans with the new Charger. Due to be launched sometime this month (after a 90-day delay), the latest iteration promises strong power and performance, albeit from an electric drivetrain and the Hurricane inline-six. If the lack of a V8 isn’t enough to put people off, the high pricing of the electric Charger won’t do anything to win customers over.
