The 2025 Jeep Wrangler Will Keep Enthusiasts Happy

An interesting change has been made for the 2025 Jeep Wrangler. As before, a 3.6-liter V6 acts as the base engine, but it now comes linked exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission. Buyers who want the eight-speed automatic will have to upgrade to the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, plug-in hybrid 4xe, or V8 Rubicon 392. The V6 was previously the only engine to be paired with a manual, but now that will be the only way to get it.

This is great news for manual enthusiasts, who have fewer options than ever to row their own gears in an SUV. Aside from the Wrangler, the Ford Bronco is the only other SUV to offer a stick shift. The 2025 Wrangler gets other notable changes, including pricing information.

Changes For The 2025 Model Year

Every Wrangler now includes power locks and windows, meaning you no longer have to roll your windows up manually on the base trim level. It’s hard to believe any vehicle still offered manual windows in 2024, but some customers liked to keep the Wrangler simple. Jeep also added a new color called ’41, which is an olive green inspired by the military. Owners of the 2025 Wrangler will now have access to Active Cabin Ventilation, which can pre-ventilate the cabin via a mobile app, not just from the key fob.

The 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 still produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, and as we mentioned, it will now be paired with a six-speed manual. The optional 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder produces 270 hp and 295 lb-ft going out to an eight-speed auto. The 4xe PHEV returns unchanged, producing 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque with a 21-mile electric driving range. Due to popular demand, the Rubicon 392 returns for what should be the final model year, including a limited run Final Edition.

2025 Pricing Goes Up Or Down Depending On The Trim

Jeep will offer seven Wrangler trim levels for 2025: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, and Rubicon 392. All of these trims are available in two-door or four-door body styles except for the Sahara and Rubicon 392, which are four-door only. The 4xe comes in Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, and High Altitude (late availability). Pricing for the 2025 lineup is as-follows (not including a $1,895 destination fee):

Some trims have gone up in price compared to 2024, but others have actually decreased by a few hundred dollars, including the base Sport trim. Jeep hasn’t announced pricing for the Rubicon 392 or the Final Edition, which should be available soon. The 4xe continues to qualify for the federal tax credit, effectively lowering the price by $7,500.
