- It’s made from chocho and blue spirulina, and will be given away at a test drive event in Studio City on September 27.
- The collaboration is designed to promote the Equinox EV in California, which is a major market for electric vehicles.
If you managed to snag a bottle of Volkswagen’s Gewürz ketchup for your currywurst sausages, you’ll probably need something to help wash it down. Thankfully, you’re in luck as Chevrolet has introduced Electric Juice.

Billed as a limited edition wellness beverage inspired by the Equinox EV, Electric Juice was created as part of a collaboration with California’s Erewhon. The Whole Foods on steroids focuses on organic foods and has a Tonic Bar which “continually releases new and exciting juices, tonics, [and] smoothies.”

Among the items are a $19 Hailey Bieber Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie and a $22 Katy Perry Orange You Glad I Love You Smoothie. The company also offers a $24 cup of Strawberry Probiotic Ice Cream and a $15 Probiotic Soda.

Southern California craziness aside, Electric Juice features chocho and blue spirulina. The former is the “planet’s most protein-rich plant source,” while the latter is an “electric-blue superfood that matches the Equinox EV’s signature color.” That doesn’t exactly sound like a tasty combination, but Chevrolet’s marketing team said the “tonic’s organic ingredients are designed to energize and recharge.”
You can get a complimentary bottle of Electric Juice by test driving an Equinox EV at Erewhon Studio City on September 27 between 7 am and 7 pm. While the collaboration is kind of kooky, Chevrolet Chief Marketing Officer Steve Majoros said “This relationship allows us to connect with potential new EV customers in southern California, an important market for Chevrolet.”
As a refresher, the Equinox EV got a handful of updates for 2025 including a long awaited entry-level model that starts at $34,995. Buyers will also find upgraded electric motors as front-wheel drive variants now have 220 hp (164 kW / 223 PS) and 243 lb-ft (329 Nm) of torque, while all-wheel drive models develop an estimated 300 hp (224 kW / 304 PS) and 355 lb-ft (481 Nm) of torque.
