2025 Chrysler Pacifica Returns For Under $40,000

In October 2021, Chrysler made the announcement that its Voyager minivan would become a fleet-only vehicle. As it transitioned to the role, it gained an improved cabin air filter from the popular Pacifica, but it retained the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 287 horsepower and 262 lb-f of torque. A few years later, the 2025 Chrysler Voyager returns with the exact same engine and the exact same styling that it left with, but there are some alterations. The key thing, though, is not its features but its starting price, which has increased from around $33,000-$38,000 in its final year on sale to $39,995 for its return. While that’s a notable jump, it’s still an excellent starting point.

Updates For The Return

The old Voyager had a seven-inch infotainment display as standard and a 10.1-inch screen as an option, but the latter has become standard for the new model year. A seven-inch screen sits ahead of the driver, and Caprice leatherette seats are also included. The Stow ‘n Go seating system is now standard for both the second and third rows, and buyers are also treated to power sliding doors, a power liftgate, eight-way power seating for the driver, a heated front row and heated steering wheel, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

You do lose out on color options, likely because offering too many choices would complicate production and make it more expensive. The previous Voyager was available in Silver Mist, Brilliant Black, Bright White, Granite Crystal, and Velvet Red, while the 2025 minivan only has access to three finishes: Red Hot, Diamond Black, and Bright White. Orders are now open, and the minivan is expected to reach dealerships before the end of the year.

The Returning Voyager Is A Stopgap

If you want a more capable minivan with a Chrysler badge, you’ll have to upgrade to the well-priced Pacifica. For 2025, this starts at $44,145 in gas-only guise and $52,750 as a plug-in hybrid. No other Chryslers are sold anymore, but that will change. Unconfirmed reports from reliable analysts suggest that the upcoming Dodge Durango replacement will spawn a Chrysler twin, but this is only expected to arrive in late 2026 or early 2027. Bringing the Voyager back seems like an effort to increase turnover for the troubled Stellantis group, and we hope that it has the desired effect and that Chrysler can return to its former glory. Until then, another affordable family car is never a bad thing, even if it’s sorely in need of significant updates.
