  • Leapmotor teased a new model that will join the T03 urban EV and C10 SUV in Europe.
  • The Leapmotor B10 is described as a compact SUV and will make its global debut in Paris.
  • The company didn’t mention any specs, but there is a good chance it will be fully electric.

Leapmotor, a Stellantis-backed automaker from China, has just kickstarted its presence in Europe with two EVs, but it took no time to announce a third model. The Leapmotor B10 is described as a compact SUV and appeared in official teasers before its world premiere at the Paris Auto Show.

adpushup.que.push(function() {

}
else{

} });

Unlike the T03 small hatchback and the C10 midsize SUV which were already available in China prior to their European debuts, the Leapmotor B10 is an entirely new model.

Stellantis said that the B10 will be the first global model to ride on Leapmotor’s new “B platform”, with the mission of bringing “advanced technology to an even broader audience”. There is no mention on the powertrain, but chances are it will be fully electric. The automaker offers BEV and EREV options for the majority of its models in China, something that could also be the case with the new addition to the range.

The teasers show a camouflaged prototype of the B10 powersliding in the desert. We can see traditional SUV proportions, flush door handles, split headlights, and what appear to be full-width LED bars on both ends. The rear end somehow resembles a baby Porsche Cayenne, although borrowing styling cues from other brands is a common practice in electrified models from China.

 Leapmotor B10 Teased As A Compact SUV For Europe

The compact SUV will have a smaller footprint compared to the 4,740 mm (186.6 inches) long Leapmotor C10, probably measuring closer to 4,500 mm (177 inches) long. Reading between the lines, the model could positioned between Stellantis’ own Peugeot E-2008 and E-3008 in terms of size, albeit with more competitive pricing.

The Leapmotor lineup in China currently comprises the T03 urban EV, the C01 sedan, as well as the C10, C11 and C16 SUVs. In Europe, the company offers the T03 and C10, and will add a new model every year for the next three years, starting with the B10.

Car News China reports that the Leapmotor B10 will be priced around ¥100,000-150,000 ($14,245-21,367) in the local market. Judging from the market positioning, it is safe to assume that the European pricing of the B10 will slot between the €18,900 ($21,060) of the smaller T03, and the €36,400 ($40,560) of the larger C10.
