The Ariel Nomad might just be the perfect mix of driver-focused sports car and off-road adventure buggy, and anyone looking to get behind the wheel of one would be wise to check out this low-mileage example currently up for auction.

It’s been almost a decade since the Nomad was first introduced, and it’s still as cool now as it was back in 2015. This Nomad is a 2017 model that was assembled by TMI AutoTech in South Boston, Virginia, and it’s been under the possession of the seller since 2018 and yet, has only been driven 769 miles (1,237 km).

Powering the Nomad is one of Honda’s K24 2.4-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engines, boosted with a supercharger and pumping out approximately 300 hp. The K24 is coupled with a six-speed manual transmission which drives the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential.

Like all other Nomads, this one is just at home on a racetrack as it is crawling up a rocky off-road trail. It’s sitting on a set of 15-inch wheels with 235/75 BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain tires and has double wishbone suspension at all four corners with adjustable coilovers that include Eibach springs and remote reservoirs.

The cabin is extremely bare and free of any superfluous features that may get in the way of the driving experience. A three-spoke suede Momo steering wheel takes pride of place and there’s a nice shifter as well as an extended hydraulic handbrake lever. Composite bucket seats are all that separate you from the road while five-point harnesses keep occupants secure.

Some added features make the car even better suited to difficult terrain than many other Nomads. For example, it rocks a Warn winch, Hella headlights, roof-mounted rally lights, and an LED rear rain light.
