This Is The World’s Wildest Porsche Cayenne Bar None

The Porsche Cayenne is known for many things, mainly being the savior of Porsche and one of the fastest SUVs to ever grace the Nürburgring primarily. But if there’s one thing we haven’t seen before, it’s a Cayenne drift car. While that in itself may already raise the eyebrows of the Porsche community, this particular build, featured by Larry Chen on his YouTube channel, houses an eight-pot mill that will irk the staunchest of Porsche-philes: a GM LS2 V8 engine.

The owner of this Cayenne drift car is named Vasili from Toronto, and the car was built by TSH Auto. He started this project three years ago, with a first-generation Cayenne with a blown engine as the base vehicle. Inspired by North American car culture, he decided to use a custom supercharged 6.0-liter LS2 V8 for his build, with a claimed output of 530 horsepower and 530 lb-ft of torque. Not bad, but definitely not ideal if you’re a purist.

RWD Using Original Components

Apart from the LS2 V8 swap, Vasili also converted the all-wheel-drive Cayenne into rear-wheel drive. Thankfully, the original rear differential and axle are still in place, and so are the factory brake calipers on the front wheels. As you’d expect when changing direction suddenly, the SUV was dropped by 9 inches, while the front suspension and steering angle modifications were handled by Josiah from FDF R shop.

Interestingly, this drift car comes with a set of 22-inch wheels, which are quite huge for its purpose but probably needed since the slammed stance put the SUV just nearly an inch off the ground. Wilwood brake calipers hide behind the rear wheels, which are connected to a hydraulic handbrake, again to serve this build’s purpose as a drift car.

A Family Drift Car

Despite the roll cage, the Cayenne drift car still comes with many of its luxury features in the cabin that can seat four. It still has a full interior, including the original door cards. One glaring element, however, is the front Bentley seats with five-point harnesses. It also has a full sound system aboard, ready for parties after a full day of drifting around a track.

It may not look like it, but Vasili’s Cayenne drift car is actually street-legal, complete with license plates. Without its wild livery, it could easily blend in on the road despite being one of the craziest LS-swapped cars we’ve seen. Unfortunately, he didn’t share how much was spent on the entire build, but something as unique as this must have required a fair amount of first-time fabrication and experimentation.
