Chevy Expands 2025 Silverado EV Range With New LT Model And Battery Options

The 2025 Silverado EV sees a host of changes including a significant price cut for the range-topping RST

Chevy Expands 2025 Silverado EV Range With New LT Model And Battery Options

  • Chevrolet is expanding the Silverado EV lineup with the addition of a new LT variant.
  • The new trim starts at $75,195 and offers up to 408 miles of range.
  • Besides the LT, Chevrolet is offering new Standard, Extended, and Max Range batteries.

The Chevrolet Silverado EV lineup is expanding for 2025 as the company is adding a mid-level LT trim as well as Standard and Max Range batteries. The latter is particularly noteworthy as it increases the truck’s range to an EPA-estimated 492 miles (792 km).

Starting with the Silverado EV LT, the truck begins at $75,195 and this makes it $14,200 cheaper than the range-topping RST. That’s a sizable savings and the model comes equipped with a unique front bumper, an illuminated bowtie emblem, and 18-inch aluminum wheels. They’re joined by a Multi-Flex tailgate as well as six colors including an LT-exclusive Blue Smoke Metallic.

Chevrolet didn’t delve into many specifics, but confirmed the model has an 11.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 17.7-inch infotainment system.

Power is provided by a dual-motor all-wheel drive system producing up to 645 hp (481 kW/ 654 PS) and 765 lb-ft (1,036 Nm) of torque. It’s joined by an Extended Range battery that enables the model to travel 408 miles (657 km) on a single charge. Buyers will also find a 300 kW DC fast charging capability and a 12,500 lb (5,670 kg) towing capacity.

Buyers looking for more equipment can get a Premium Package that increases the price to $81,995. Chevrolet didn’t say much about it, but the package adds 22-inch wheels and they cause the range to drop to 390 miles (628 km). Customers will also find options such as Super Cruise and an Avalanche-like midgate.

The fleet-focused Work Truck (WT) returns and begins at $57,095. There’s no estimate for the new Standard Range variant, but models equipped with the Extended Range battery cost $69,495 and can travel 422 miles (679 km) on a single charge.

The big news for 2025 is the addition of a Max Range variant, which will set you back $77,795. That’s pretty pricey for a work truck, but it has an EPA-estimated range of 492 miles (792 km). Besides the new batteries, the WT gets “more choices” including a Slate Gray paint job.

Lastly, the RST gets a significant price cut as the model begins at $89,395 instead of $96,495. However, the price isn’t the only thing that shrinks as the truck is now offered with two different battery packs.

The Extended Range variant has an EPA-estimated range of 390 miles (628 km), while the $97,895 Max Range truck can travel a GM-estimated 460 miles (740 km). For comparison, the 2024 RST First Edition had a GM-estimated range of 440 miles (708 km).

Besides the aforementioned tweaks, the RST offers a new trim-exclusive Zephyr Blue Matte Metallic paint job. We’ll likely learn more closer to launch, but shipments should begin before the end of the year.
