Acura is moving its crossover lineup down by one more size segment. The Japanese luxury brand has just teased the all-new 2025 Acura ADX, which will arrive this fall as its smallest premium compact crossover, becoming the entry point into the brand’s lineup of crossovers.
Acura
Launched in the mid-1980s, Acura is to Honda what Lexus is to Toyota. Honda created it with the intention of penetrating the North American market and has never sold its Ohio-made cars in Japan, although this was a consideration before the 200-2008 financial crisis. Shortly after its birth in 1986, the automaker quickly became a thorn in the sides of premium automakers like Mercedes-Benz and BMW. In America, the Honda NSX was sold with an Acura badge, and that’s a great relation for affordable everyday heroes like the Integra Type S.

The teaser came with four images, one of which shows the outside of the new model. It shows Acura’s Chicane taillight design, as seen on the larger MDX crossover. There’s also a hint of a rear spoiler and a roofline that’s sharply raked forward much like the Honda HR-V we expect this will share a platform with.
ADX Gets Chicane Taillights, Turbocharged Power
Acura is also turbocharging the ADX, a feature that’s not offered on Honda’s equivalent model. The likely suspect to go under the hood is the 200-horsepower, 190 lb-ft of torque version of Honda’s 1.5-liter Earth Dreams turbocharged four-cylinder as found in the Acura Integra. Also possible is the 180-hp version of that same engine used in the Honda Civic Sedan.

Not likely, but we can still dream about the 2.0-liter four-cylinder from the Acura Integra Type S. That one makes 320 hp and would make for one heck of an ADX Type S, even if it’s about as likely to happen as a stick-shift MDX. Of course, such a powertrain would make the ADX more expensive.
ADX Gets Fancy Two-Tone Cabin, Bang & Olufsen Audio
This small crossover will have big interior features. Acura says it will offer a panoramic moonroof and ventilated front seats. The photos show a two-tone blue and white interior that looks more upscale (read: there’s more stitching and panels) than the front or rear seats of the Integra. The blue segments look like they’re made from suede or Alcantara, set against perforated leather and blue contrast stitching.
The 2025 ADX’s top stereo will come from Bang & Olufsen. The premium car brand has been switching to Bang & Olufsen from its previous supplier, ELS, with recent models. In the teasers, you can see a headliner speaker like the one in the 16-speaker ELS system in the Integra suggesting the ADX will have plenty of audio output.

What Acura didn’t say is when we can expect to actually see this crossover. A fall reveal hints at the LA Auto Show, but Acura isn’t on the press conference schedule for the show. It is on the list of automakers attending, though, so the schedule could change. The media day for that show is November 21st. Acura could also reveal the ADX in a stand-alone event ahead of LA and have it on the show floor there. Either way, stay tuned.
