Mercedes-Benz calls the 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ the most dynamic model in the GT portfolio. It’s also got one of the brand’s longest names. And now, with a price starting at just under $200,000, it can add the claim as one of the most expensive AMG models.

Not that you’d expect it to be cheap. This hot rod coupe comes with a hand-built V8 that makes 603 horsepower, after all. With an aero package designed to make it even quicker around a racetrack with the cooling system it needs to back that up. It’s also $25k less than the temporarily dead 911 GT3 it competes best with, despite having 100 horsepower more, almost double the torque, and the advantage of AWD.
AMG Offers A Load Of GTs, And This Is The Top Of The Range
The AMG GT Coupe lineup is surprisingly broad. Benz offers the GT 43 with a 2.0-liter four and the GT 55 model with a 469-horse V8. Then there is the GT 63 and its much beefier version of the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8, the GT 63 S E Performance PHEV, and then this one, the Pro model, at $195,900, excluding $1,150 for destination.
Pro means faster. It was revealed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last year, aimed at “car enthusiasts who are looking for exceptional driving dynamics.” We take that to mean that the lesser 63 models are somehow less exceptional, but we’re not sure how.
A new aero package includes active panels in the nose and underneath. It includes new carbon fiber air deflectors and enlarged air intakes. The changes mean 65 pounds less lift on the front axle, with the larger fixed rear wing adds around 35 pounds of downforce there.

As AMG fans know, this doesn’t celebrate any recent successes in F1…
This one also gets more capable cooling systems. The front radiators have been moved, and Benz has added fans and pumps to cool the differentials and transfer case. All to let you go harder in the Pro for longer without damage or lost performance.
AMG ceramic composite brakes are standard. Six-piston calipers at the front grab 16.5-inch brake rotors. The package is lighter, reducing unsprung weight, with more fade resistance. The brakes sit in special 21-inch forged wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires.
Comes With Loads Of Go-Fast Parts, Comfort Features Are Options
Standard equipment includes AMG Active Ride Control with active roll stabilization, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, performance exhaust, performance seats, and all of the other upgrades already covered. Even stickier Pilot Sport Cup 2 R Extreme performance tires are offered, as is a front axle lift system. You can also add folding rear seats and Burmester audio if you want a little more comfort in your Pro features.

The Most Affordable Used AMG Models You Can Buy In 2025
Some models have become surprisingly affordable.
Then, of course, the highlight. The hand-built 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. It makes 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, all sent through the AMG-tweaked AWD system and an AMG Speedshift nine-speed automatic.
The starting price for the AMG GT Pro is $195,900. This is the sharpest AMG GT model in the US since the outrageous green AMG GT R back in 2017, so when it arrives at dealers this spring, don’t expect it to stick around. That reminds us of something – the updated GT3 is probably already impossible to sign for.
