We’ll never get tired of the BMW M3 Touring, most especially modified ones that further increase our longing for the long-roof M3 to arrive stateside. German tuning firm G-Power has introduced its tuned version of the G81 M3 Touring, taking its engineering to another level with its latest GP-800 upgrade – limited to just a few units worldwide and also applicable to the G80-generation M3 Sedan.

As the numerical representation above hints, G-Power’s M3 Touring upgrade boosts the S58 inline-six engine to 800 metric horses, or around 789 horsepower across the pond, paired with 664 lb-ft of torque. Those numbers outdo the 543-hp BMW M3 CS, though a bit short compared to the Revuelto-beating M3 from Puerto Rico. G-Power’s version also gets an increased top speed of 205 mph.
A Heavily Upgraded Turbo And Aero Package
G-Power has achieved the numbers above by heavily upgrading the M3 Touring S58B30’s OEM turbochargers, which now feature larger compressor and turbine wheels, housed in CNC-milled casings with optimized turbine blades, resulting in quicker acceleration and a top-end punch. The package also includes a specially tuned GP-exhaust system with carbon fiber tailpipes and 200-cell metal catalysts in the downpipes to reduce back pressure and exhaust gas temperature.

It’s almost perfect.
To match the aggressive engine tune, G-Power also adds aero and lightweight upgrades to the package, including hood, grille, engine cover, and dynamic wing – all made out of carbon fiber. The tuning house can either leave these parts exposed or get them painted, depending on the customer’s specifications.
Limited To 25 Units Only, And It Costs A Solid Five Figures
G-Power also carried out some interior upgrades, though they’re little more than some badging, carbon fiber, and custom floor mats. The orange tinge seen on the floor matches the accents, which are part of the company’s Identity Package, and the colorful carbon in the engine bay. Apart from the decals, the M3 Touring also gets amber DRLs like the recently introduced M3 CS Touring to match the grille and a set of Hurricane RR or RS wheels, measuring 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the back.

You can customize your M3 Touring to your heart’s content.
If you’re interested in this upgrade, at least for your BMW M3 in the US, G-Power has export and motorsport versions to choose from. However, the company limits the GP-800 upgrade package to 25 examples, priced at €47,600 apiece, or around $51,300 at current exchange rates. It’s a steep ask, considering that the base M3 already starts north of $76,000, and when you consider that a BMW M240i or another sports car could be had for the same money, it’s even harder to justify. Then again, this one conversion would stand out more than two standard Bimmers.
