Fair warning: The video below will horrify empaths and delight masochists. At 2025 AutoMadness over the weekend, held in The Netherlands at TT Circuit Assen, a wide variety of modified and custom cars showed up and took to the track, hustling down the main straight in a bid for drag race supremacy. But as the day went on and the skies opened, the track became slick with rain, spelling disaster for the owner of a Vader-spec, 992-generation Porsche 911 Turbo. A slippery launch led to him fishtailing out of control into the wall, a relatively low-speed crash that nonetheless left the car disabled and disfigured.

All Fun And Games Till Some Porsche Gets Hurt
In the video, posted by YouTube channel Gumbal, lots of different cars line up on the start/finish line to race. The contenders include a Honda Civic EG hatch, a diesel-powered Seat Ibiza, and squillions of Mercedes-AMG and BMW M cars in various states of tune. The competition is mostly good fun, with cars like a BMW X3 M performing a hilarious four-wheel burnout when the light turns green, plus a David-and-Goliath matchup wherein an M140i hatchback takes down a Chevrolet Corvette thanks to its all-wheel-drive grip. It’s Trackhawk versus Plaid, GTI versus Focus RS, and even that coal-rolling Seat against everyone’s favorite über-wagon, the Audi RS6 Avant.
But as the rain falls harder and the track gets more treacherous, it’s only a matter of time before someone pushes things too far, which is what happened when a 992-generation Porsche 911 Turbo showed down against a Brabus 800 E63 sedan at the 7:32 mark. Despite all-wheel-drive grip, the P-car slips and slides off the line, and just when it looks like the driver has regained a sense of straight-ahead, the car fishtails to the right behind its opponent and sideswipes the wall. The driver walks away from the crash, which looks relatively benign from a distance, but a closer shot of the car reveals some unfortunate damage.

Automotive Pyrotechnics Did Their Job
In addition to the obvious front-end damage – the right fender and bumper have been obliterated – there’s also a pretty nasty gash on the car’s rear quarter panel. The front control arms look bent, with the wheel sitting off-center, and there’s some steam emanating from the front-mounted heat exchangers. And watching the Porsche crash in slow motion reveals that along with the driver’s airbag, the pyrotechnic rollover protection has gone off, shattering the rear window. Regardless of the body and mechanical damage, resetting those safety systems can be a very pricey proposition.

Before long, the Turbo gets loaded onto a flatbed and removed from the track to await its fate. We doubt it’ll be totalled out, because unless insurance laws are wildly different in Holland than they are here, it doesn’t look like more than $100,000 in damage. Then again, Porsche parts are pretty expensive, so maybe we’re wrong. Hopefully the driver gets their car back sooner than later, though, and can invest in some high-performance driving education to prevent the same thing from happening again.
