The Aston Martin Valhalla has been a seriously long time coming. It was first shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 2019 alongside the Valkyrie hypercar and the stillborn Vanquish mid-engine sports car. It has changed quite a bit over the years, too. It was initially supposed to use a V6 and have launched a few years ago. Since then, that powertrain has changed to an AMG-based V8 hybrid with even more power. It apparently is finally close to launching. Aston released a bunch of new photos of it going through some of its final testing, and there shouldn’t be any further delays.
Coming To Customers In 2025
As Aston stated at the end of last year, the Valhalla is still on track to start production in the second half of this year. The company said that these photos were taken during some final tuning and testing of the steering, active aerodynamics, and braking. Testing took place at proving grounds in Spain and on streets around the UK. It’s pretty obvious that the aero was being tested, since multiple photos show the huge adjustable wing in raised and lowered positions.
We also get to see the Valhalla in a few new paint schemes. They show that the car has a lot of range in visual personality. The Scintilla Silver example with the thin lime green stripe looks downright classy. It has vibes more akin to a GT car than a mid-engine supercar. The Verdant Jade and Podium Green cars, on the other hand, look much more like flashy track-day cars.

The Valhalla Will Have Impressive Performance
To recap, the Valhalla will be a monster of a car. Its twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 is based on AMG’s engine, but has different turbochargers, camshafts, and a flat-plane crankshaft. It’s combined with a pair of front electric motors, and a rear motor, to make 1,064 horsepower and 1,300 pound-feet of torque. It features active aerodynamics front and rear, pushrod front suspension and five-link independent rear suspension, and carbon fiber construction. Aston Martin says it weighs 3,649 pounds, and it should be able to get to 62 mph in 2.5 seconds on the way to a 217 mph top speed. Only 999 examples will be made, many of which will probably have unique color schemes.
