Stellantis Offers Employee Discount For All Too As Recession Fears Grow

  • Stellantis is following in Ford’s footsteps by offering employee pricing for all.
  • The incentive reportedly only applies to 2024 models, but specifics are hazy.
  • Customers can also opt for cash incentives, so it pays to compare your options.

President Trump’s trade war continues to wreck havoc on the economy as the Dow has plummeted 1,522 points as of this writing. It follows yesterday’s crash, which was the largest since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

While the latest ‘disease’ is self-inflicted, automakers are scrambling to respond and prevent sales from drying up. Ford got the ball rolling yesterday with the return of employee pricing for all, which can save customers thousands of dollars.

The incentive applies to an assortment of 2024 and 2025 Ford and Lincoln vehicles. However, some models aren’t eligible including the redesigned Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator as well as Super Duty pickups. Raptors are also excluded as are “specialty Mustang and Bronco vehicles.”

Stellantis has now hastily put together their own employee pricing for all program. While the automaker hasn’t detailed their initiative, they released a statement to Reuters saying their program will enable customers to choose between employee pricing or cash incentives.

However, it doesn’t appear to be as generous as Ford’s program. According to a memo seen by the publication, Stellantis’ offer only applies to 2024 model year vehicles.

That’s not terribly exciting, but we should learn more about the program shortly as it reportedly kicks off today. It’s slated to run through the end of the month, so it might be worth checking out if you’re in the market for a new Dodge, Jeep, or Ram vehicle.

While the incentive is clearly a response to Ford, it comes shortly after the automaker announced a disappointing first quarter where U.S. sales fell 12% to 293,225 units. Dodge sales plummeted 49%, while Jeep was off 10% thanks to Cherokee- and Renegade-sized holes in their lineup.
