Finally, a story that’s about teriffic and not tariffs. Lamborghini factory test driver and our vote for holder of the greatest job in the world, Andrea Caldarelli, is taking the Temerario for a showcase-worthy spin around the Misano Adriatico circuit.

The test driver and the car are the stars of a new video from Lamborghini called The Red Zone that showcases not just the 10,500 rpm redline but the amount of physical preparation that it takes to drive a car like this for more than a few minutes at a time.
Getting The Most Out Of A Car Like This Takes More Than Just Skill
As much as we all imagine ourselves looking like Jeremy Clarkson behind the wheel, on the edge of control, and on the edge of a heart attack, real test drivers need incredible physical conditioning. Caldarelli spends countless hours training, pushing himself in the gym to make sure that he can push the car for the amount of time he needs to help Lamborghini give its newest models the biggest gains possible.

Lamborghini Temerario Could Get Over 1,000 HP In Future Variants
With more than 900 horsepower on tap, the “entry-level” 2025 Lamborghini Temerario is no slouch. But future variants could make 1,000 hp (or more).
Enough about running; back to the car. The upcoming PHEV Temerario’s twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 has a flat-plane crank, titanium connecting rods, and a diamond-like carbon coating on some of the internals. All this helps it spin faster than any other production super sports car engine, knocking on the door of 11,000 rpm.
In the video, we can hear that engine scream to redline. Though definitely not as much as we’d like to hear it.
Temerario is an incredible super sports car that combines top level performance with a distinctly fun-to-drive character. What’s more, the V8 engine provides an unlimited progression, and as the tachometer climbs toward 10,000, you have the sensation of being behind the wheel of a race car, characterized by a unique sound and an authentic and compelling driving experience.
907-HP PHEV That Can Rev Through 10,000
The engine makes 789 horsepower on its own, but the three electric motors help boost that to a total of 907. To help contain all of that horsepower, the Temerario will have Launch Control accessible via a checkered flag button on the steering wheel. It will also have three levels of Drift Modes, which Caldarelli also demonstrates. The three modes start with a little bit of drift and go all the way to “wide yaw angles” for pro drifters.

Lamborghini Temerario Pricing Makes V12 Ferraris Seem Like Bargains
If you remember the days when a Lamborghini supercar could be had for $300k, prepare to shed a tear.
Current specs include a 0-62 mph time of 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 212 miles per hour. We’re sure that Lamborghini will announce plenty of other superlatives for this plug-in beast as it draws closer to production. For now, though? Watch, listen, and repeat.
