You’ll Regret Looking At This Mansory 911 But You’ll Do It Anyway

  • Mansory unveils its first P9LM Evo 900 Cabriolet based on the Porsche 911 Turbo S.
  • Extensive forged carbon elements dramatically alter the exterior of this tuned supercar.
  • Power upgrades include larger turbos, ECU tuning, and a water-cooled intercooler.

Give Mansory a sports car, and you can be rest assured that it won’t come back quietly. Subtlety has never been the brand’s strong suit—flamboyance, excess, and forged carbon everything? Now we’re talking. So when the German tuner gets its hands on a Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet, things are bound to get loud, both visually and literally.

That’s exactly what it has done with this Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet. Now known as the P9LM Evo 900, this is a 911 that Porsche itself would never dare to create.

It’s been a couple of years since Mansory rolled out its P9LM Evo 900 package for the 911 Turbo S, but this is the first time we’ve seen it applied to a Cabriolet. And while this particular build might not win over purists—actually, scratch that, it’ll probably enrage them—the spec is undeniably over the top. That’s sort of the point. The 911 Turbo S has always been one of the more restrained members of the supercar club. Not anymore.

Forged Carbon, Meet Convertible Chaos

Mansory has overhauled the car’s design with several new parts. The front has been transformed with a forged carbon fiber splitter, air intake shrouds, and a new hood. Louvers on the front fenders, inspired by those of the 911 GT3 RS, also catch the eye, as does the forged carbon on the A-pillars and windshield surround. Other forged carbon parts include the flared fenders, side skirts, side air intakes, and wing mirror caps.

The rear is radical, to say the least. A fixed wing has been added to the decklid alongside a dramatic diffuser. Perhaps the single most striking change made to the car are the new forged centerlock 21- and 22-inch wheels, complete with carbon inserts and a bright purple finish.

White Leather and Purple Seatbelts

The interior doesn’t ease up on the theme. However, with the exception of the weirdly shaped steering wheel, we think the rest of the cabin is rather nice. It’s covered in plush new white leather and a pair of carbon fiber bucket seats have been installed. There are also several purple touches, including the seatbelts, and new contrast stitching.

As the name suggests, Mansory didn’t stop at carbon fiber and wild paint. Beneath the surface, the 3.8-liter flat-six has been thoroughly reworked. It now breathes through a pair of upgraded turbochargers, backed by revised ECU software, massive 98 mm downpipes, and a water-cooled intercooler. All up, it delivers 888 hp and 774 lb-ft (1,050 Nm).

At the end of the day, it’s still a 911 Turbo S at heart, just one that’s been fed nothing but espresso, anabolic steroids, and Instagram likes. Whether that’s your thing or not, there’s no denying it leaves a lasting impression.
