Mercedes-Benz has some lovely new camouflage for one of its latest upcoming electrics. Nearing its final stages before Benz takes off the curtain, the GLC EQ SUV has been snapped circling around the Nürburgring.
As it takes its last laps as a prototype before an expected reveal later in the year, we can see more about the new model despite the new wrap. We can also now see where exactly Mercedes-Benz doesn’t want us to know what it will look like.

GLC Is Hiding Some Final Details
The new GLC electric, expected to be called “GLC with EQ Technology” rather than EQC SUV as originally planned, looks fetching in the blue and white livery. A livery that lets us see that Benz has changed the nose a great deal since older prototypes were first spotted. Those older versions have a very strange-looking nose, where the grille seems to protrude from the hood like an afterthought.
While this one still has it hidden, it’s clear that the nose won’t be quite as tacked-on-looking as it was. Other details we’ve seen before include the headlights, which will use the new Mercedes-Benz Star lamp running light, with a matching element in the tail lamps.

Mercedes’ brand-new compact sedan is almost here, but there’s already something better on the way.
The lower mesh grille is obviously not a production piece, showing that Benz is still hiding some details there. Other obvious fake details include the doors and rear panel, where extra pieces under the wrap are working to disguise the shape. Still, this is a Benz, so don’t expect a lot of surfacing or curves under that wrapper.
This look at the new GLC shows a model that appears much longer than any GLC that has come before it. The body behind the back doors is just an acre of flat sheet metal. There must be a window hiding under there, because, as it is, the new GLC EV looks like a hearse. With horrible visibility.
Expect Massive Range From New EV
We expect Mercedes-Benz to reveal the new GLC later this year or in early 2026. It will be based on the MB.EA architecture and its 800-volt electrical system. It should have advanced silicon carbide inverters that improve efficiency, along with more efficient electric motors as seen with the record-smashing Vision EQXX.

Horsepower should range from between 250 to 500 horses depending on battery and region. A driving range of close to 600 miles on the generous WLTP cycle has been hinted at, and, since the reveal of the 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA, seems much more possible.
