2025 Jeep Wagoneer Overland Edition Is the One You Want

The Jeep Wrangler is the ultimate street-legal off-roader, but it’s also pretty small. If you want to take the entire family rock-crawling, Jeep has a new solution: the 2025 Wagoneer Overland Special Edition. Built to go adventuring, it gets a handful of truly useful upgrades, including new tires, skid plates, and a two-speed transfer case.

Those tires are 32-inch all-terrains, wrapping 20-inch aluminum wheels. They’ll prove plenty useful for gripping onto slippery rocks and mud when you’ve left the beaten path. If you need even more help, the Overland Special Edition also gets an electronic limited-slip differential, capable of sending up to 100 percent of the Hurricane straight-six’s 420 horsepower to either the front or the rear axle.

The Overland Special Edition comes standard with Jeep’s Quadra-Lift air suspension, unlocking up to 10 inches of ground clearance at maximum height. Underneath you’ll find three steel skid plates for the front axle, the transfer case, and the fuel tank.

On the electronics side, the Wagoneer Overland gets a new Rock drive mode, joining Auto, Sport, Snow, and Sand/Mud. There’s also Selec-Speed Control, which can automatically regulate vehicle speed when crawling up or down a slope—think hill descent control, but for either direction.

The Wagoneer Overland Special Edition differentiates itself with a handful of visual mods. Two tow hooks stick out of the front bumper. It has a black-painted roof, black trim, and roof rail crossbars. Inside you’ll find Nappa leather, all-weather floor mats, and a panoramic sunroof. A third row of seats comes standard, as does a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, a wireless charging pad, and a suite of active safety features.

Jeep is limiting production of the Wagoneer Overland Special Edition to just 2,000 units. The package costs $5,795—pretty reasonable, considering all the useful equipment included. Total MSRP is $74,835, including a $2,095 destination charge. Deliveries should begin later this summer.
