Just last month, Dodge announced delightful news for those in the market for a brand-new Hornet – the MY2025 version of the Alfa Romeo Tonale twin received a price cut, making it one of the best horsepower deals in America. That’s just the tip of the iceberg, though, as dealers in the US are heavily discounting the small SUV by as much as $20,000.

Depending on the model year and trim you’re getting, a quick search via Cars and a quick toggle to look for the lowest price gives you the best deals in the U.S. for a new Hornet. The 2025 Hornet R/T is priced as low as $37,639 at Taverna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat dealership in Florida, showing a $4,006 discount from its $41,645 MSRP. Meanwhile, the 2025 Hornet GT gets an even heftier $5,407, listed online for only $24,588.
Ridiculous Discounts For Old Inventory Units
But those aren’t the prices we’ve seen. If you’re not particular about production dates, slightly older MY2024 Hornets are still available, and they do present incredible discounts on their MSRPs. For instance, a 2024 Hornet GT in Florida is currently listed at $21,995, a huge cut from its listed $33,490 MSRP. Another example is listed for $22,394, an immense decrease from $40,285.

The amped-up versions of the small SUV will go like hell as promised.
Perhaps the best deals you can get are for the 2024 Hornet R/T. The lowest price we see for the Dodge SUV’s hybrid version is $24,754, or exactly a $19,371 discount over its listed $44,125 MSRP. We haven’t seen price cuts this massive before, trumping even the ridiculous discounts thrown at the Charger Daytona EV and those implemented on old inventory units of the Tesla Cybertruck right now.
The Hornet Hasn’t Been Selling Well
Bargain prices for the Hornet really spell good news for those in the market for one, but they also mean one thing: dealers are having a hard time selling the SUV. In fact, a quick look at Dodge’s sales figures during the first three months of 2025 shows that it’s not selling well, especially when compared to its performance last year.

In Q1 2025, Dodge only moved 4,108 units of the Hornet, which is substantially down from the 7,419 units delivered during the same period last year. That represents a 45 percent decline in sales, which isn’t good news. According to the automaker, the hybrid Hornet R/T accounts for 56 percent of Hornet sales during Q1 2025.
